Matthew Fitch recipient of the AGC Future Leaders Forum Committee Scholarship - The AGC Future Leaders Forum Committee Scholarship is presented by the Future Leaders Forum Committee of AGC. It is awarded to a full time Construction Management student who is a member of the AGC Student Chapter, is at least a sophomore, and has a 2.5 GPA.
Matthew Fitch recipient of the AGC of Colorado Gilbert E. Johnson Scholarship for Construction Management - AGC of Colorado Gilbert E. Johnson Scholarship for Construction Management recipient must be a full-time undergraduate student; have completed at least a 12-week internship in the field of construction; maintain a 3.2 GPA; be involved with Associated General Contractors Student Chapter; and participate in community activities. Preference given to students planning a career in general contracting.
Kristin Anderson recipient of the Alexandra Stewart and Gustave W. Voelzel, Jr. Memorial Scholarship - The Alexandra Stewart and Gustave W. Voelzel, Jr. Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of the Voelzels, who were both Colorado State alumni. The award is given to a student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who has been involved in community or club activities. Recipients must have completed their freshman year in a Family and Consumer Sciences-related field.
Caitlain Bricker recipient of the Alice M. Ford Scholarship - The Alice M. Ford Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Ford who received her Master’s degree from Colorado State and taught Home Economics for many years. Awarded to undergraduate majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences.
Christyn Hopkins recipient of the Alice M. Ford Scholarship - The Alice M. Ford Scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Ford who received her Master’s degree from Colorado State and taught Home Economics for many years. Awarded to undergraduate majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences.
Zachary Belsey recipient of the Alpine Cabinet Company Construction Management Scholarship - The Alpine Cabinet Company Construction Management Scholarship is provided by the company and is awarded to an undergraduate majoring in Construction Management. Preference is given to an in-state student. From Advance: James Chinn founded Alpine Cabinet Company in Timnath, Colorado in 1968 with just one employee.
Averie Floyd recipient of the American Sewing Guild - Denver Chapter Scholarship - The American Sewing Guild – Denver Chapter Scholarship is awarded to juniors, seniors,or graduate students concentrating in the field of Apparel Design and Production. Applicants must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, be Colorado residents with a Colorado high school diploma or have resided in the state for at least 10 years, and demonstrate involvement in Design and Merchandising activities.

Arnulfo Serrano Ceja recipient of the American Society of Professional Estimators Denver Chapter 5 Scholarship - The American Society of Professional Estimators Denver Chapter 5 Scholarship is provided for Construction Management students who have at least two semesters remaining toward their degrees. Recipients must be full time undergraduate students with a minimum 2.75 GPA, have demonstrated financial need, and be planning a career in the construction industry.
Erin Terry recipient of the Andy White Memorial Scholarship - The Andy White Memorial Scholarship was established by emeritus faculty member, Louise Wendt White, in memory of her husband who died in 2000. Mrs. White’s career at Colorado State spanned 35 years, from 1967 to 2002, during which time she served as professor, acting department head, and assistant department head in the Department of Occupational Therapy. The scholarship is given to a graduate student who is in their second year of the OT program and who is focusing on neuro-rehabilitation (such as neuro-developmental treatment [NDL]) or similar research and who has a desire and goal to work with adults with acquired brain damage.
Anabella Montgomery recipient of the Ann Hyde Memorial Scholarship - Ann Hyde was a well known couture designer in Denver. She had a passion for quality construction techniques and exquisite fabrics. The Ann Hyde Memorial Scholarship was established by Dr. E. Fred Birdsall in honor and memory of his wife. The award is given to undergraduate students majoring in Apparel Design and Production with an interest in custom tailoring and couture design and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Angela Carvalho recipient of the Ann Livingston Memorial Scholarship - The Ann Livingston Memorial Scholarship was established by family and friends of Ann, who was a Colorado State alumna and Poudre School District teacher for 28 years. The award is given to undergraduates majoring in Health and Exercise Science concentrating in health promotion. Preference is given to graduates of Poudre School District who participate in a variety of professional activities. At request of donor, must be female student; current Colorado resident; current U.S. citizen, and received no grade lower than C in high school or college.
Sarah Daurio recipient of the Ann Livingston Memorial Scholarship - The Ann Livingston Memorial Scholarship was established by family and friends of Ann, who was a Colorado State alumna and Poudre School District teacher for 28 years. The award is given to undergraduates majoring in Health and Exercise Science concentrating in health promotion. Evyan Stuart recipient of the Anne Andrews Scholarship for Mental Health Advocates - The Anne Andrews Scholarship for Mental Health Advocates is given by Gail Cotton in honor of her daughter, Anne. This scholarship is awarded to a student who participates in community service activities and plans a career in the mental health field setting that advocates for services for those affected by chronic mental illness.
Leora Garcia recipient of the Anne Jubitz Munro Scholarship - Anne (Jubitz) Munro '67 credits her father for modeling a deep commitment to education, an attribute Anne continues as a family legacy. Mr. Jubitz also received a great deal of satisfaction from helping others. "If he were alive today, he would be thrilled with this decision," Anne said while establishing the scholarship fund. After completing her undergraduate studies in occupational therapy at Colorado State University (CSU), Anne returned to her native Portland, Oregon. It was there that her mother and future husband's stepmother introduced her to David Munro, whom she would eventually marry. Anne and David have two daughters, Laurie and Sally, and two grandchildren. David is an attorney in Portland. Through Anne, he shares an appreciation, understanding, and support for the field of occupational therapy and how this, and other types of intervention, can save and improve lives. Anne and David have maintained a legacy of giving to occupational therapy since 1974. The Munros acknowledge the importance of scholarship support for the next generation of students and wish to honor the Occupational Therapy department for the excellent teaching and camaraderie that Anne enjoyed during her time at CSU.
Trevor Mendoza recipient of the ASPE/Eugene L. Joerns Scholarship - The American Society of Professional Estimators Denver Chapter 5 Scholarship is provided for Construction Management students who have at least two semesters remaining toward their degrees. Kimberly Burke recipient of the Attack Pack Scholarship - The Attack Pack Scholarship was named in honor of a group of heart attack survivors, many of whom participate in the Adult Fitness Program in Health and Exercise Science. The award is given to a junior or senior student with a quality academic record who demonstrates volunteer service in health promotion other than practicum experiences for credit, and plans a career in cardiac rehabilitation.
Alejandra Mcgee recipient of the B. C. Cowel Health and Exercise Science Scholarship - The B.C. Cowel Health and Exercise Science Scholarship was established by Bo Cowelâ??s family in honor of his years of service at Colorado State as a physical education professor and intramural director. Bo passed away in 1999. The award is awarded to a junior or senior. Selection is based on high involvement in physical education activity, interest, and leadership. Recipients must be Colorado residents.

Kristie Livermore recipient of the Barbara Oliver Memorial Scholarship - The Barbara Oliver Memorial Scholarship was established in 1997 in memory of Dr. Barbara Oliver, a valued friend and faculty member in Design and Merchandising. Preference is given to entering or continuing graduate students with a specialization in merchandising or apparel. For entering graduate students, a 3.0 GPA is required; for continuing graduate students a 3.5 GPA is required.
Christine Schaefer recipient of the Bariatric Center of the Rockies Graduate Scholarship - Created by Bariatric Center of the Rockies, a collaboration between Northern Colorado Surgical Associates and Poudre Valley Hospital, this scholarship recognizes the pioneering efforts of Dr. Merlin G. Otteman, an early leader in bariatric surgery in northern Colorado. Dr. Otteman, whose work includes the development of gastric bypass and vertical banding surgery, devoted his time helping morbidly obese patients create a healthier lifestyle. Recipients must show an involvement in and commitment to obesity and/or diabetes research.
Sam Bouchard recipient of the Beavers Heavy Construction Scholarship - The Beavers Heavy Construction Scholarship is awarded to US Citizen undergraduate or graduate students who have a professional goal of achieving a career in the heavy construction industry. Recipients must be enrolled full time in Construction Management directly applicable to heavy construction industry and show commitment to pursue part-time or summer employment while attending school.
Danielle Noem recipient of the Ben Granger Distance Education Scholarship - The Ben Granger Distance Education Scholarship was established to honor retired director of Social Work, Ben Granger. Dr. Granger is responsible for developing and initiating the Schoolâ??s first distance education program in 1988 on Coloradoâ??s Western Slope. The award is given to graduate students enrolled in the School of Social Work distance education program with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Joel Lobo recipient of the Betty Daly Memorial Scholarship - The Betty Daly Memorial Scholarship was established by family, friends, and business associates of Mrs. Daly, who was a 1976 graduate of Textiles and Clothing. This scholarship is awarded to a senior majoring in Apparel and Merchandising.
Marc Rizzo recipient of the Chamberlain Family Graduate Scholarship - The Chamberlain Family Graduate Scholarship is given in honor of the Logan Chamberlain family. Logan received his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development in the College of Applied Human Sciences. The award is given to graduate students in any major in the College of Applied Human Sciences, who demonstrate financial need, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and are thesis or doctoral candidates working on research with a practical application. Non-traditional aged students are encouraged to apply.

Lee Mathers recipient of the CM Board of Directors Student Leadership Scholarship - The CM Board of Directors Student Leadership was established by Terrance Unrein, Brady Babbitt, and Jeb Bair, all 2010 graduates of the Department of Construction Management. While CSU students, Terrance, Brady, and Jeb were ative in leadership activities of the department, college, and university. All three were officers of the CM Board of Directors, members of student competition teams, and the Dean's Leadership Council. The recipient of this award should be an officer of a CM Club (not just a member) or a competitiion team member. Preference goes to applicants who meet both of these criteria. The recipient should also be involved in other leadership activities suchas the Dean's Leadership Council, other university boards or committees, and hold a minimum 3.0 GPA. Applicants should provide a statement outlining their leadership involvement and discussing their philosophy of leadership. Applicants should also provide a letter of recommendation from a CM instructor or advisor.

Colorado Chapter Scholarship was established by the Association in 2000. Recipients of the award must show good citizenship and strong character, as well as have potential for leadership.

Must be highly motivated toward a construction industry career. Contributions to this endowed fund have come from construction companies and related firms. Lane Brugman recipient of the Courtney Peterson/HRH Construction Industry Scholarship - The Courtney Petersen/HRH Construction Industry Scholarship is provided by HRH, a full-service insurance and bonding broker with the historical focus of serving the construction industry in Colorado and the western region of the U.S. Courtney Peterson was a long-time employee of HRH and the company recognizes his contributions with a scholarship fund for Construction Management students. The recipient is a junior, senior, or graduate student with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Cory Hibbard recipient of the Dagmar Gustafson Memorial Scholarship - The Dagmar Gustafson Memorial Scholarship was established in honor of Ms. Gustafson, who was department head of Textiles and Clothing and spent 20 years at Colorado State. It is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Design and Merchandising. Selection is based on active participation in departmental and campus activities.
Michael Bent recipient of the Delano F. Scott Scholarship in AHS - The Delano F. Scott Scholarship is presented to male undergraduates with a minimum sophomore standing, pursuing any major in the College of Applied Human Sciences. The selection is based in part on financial need.

Bonie Shupe recipient of the Donald E. and Esther L. Harbison Memorial Scholarship - The Donald E. and Esther L. Harbison Memorial Scholarship is given by their daughter, Dona Hildebrand, and her late husband, Floyd, in memory of her parents who graduated from Colorado A. & M. in 1926 – Esther with a degree in Home Economics and Donald in Forestry. Esther was also a member of Omicron Nu, the Home Economics honorary society. This scholarship is awarded to a student in a Family and Consumer Sciences related major who is a non-traditional or transfer student, and demonstrates financial need.
Ashley Iverson recipient of the Dorothy Douglass and Glenn Langley Memorial Scholarship - The Dorothy Douglass and Glenn Langley Memorial Scholarship is given to students enrolled in majors in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition. Mr. and Mrs. Langley graduated from Colorado A & M, Dorothy in Home Economics (1927) and Glenn in Agronomy (1929). They always maintained their interest in education and this University. Dorothy was involved in very early vitamin research in California, Montana, and Colorado. Applicants must demonstrate high academic standards, show financial need, and have volunteer service.
Caylin Delaroy recipient of the Dr. Lynne White Memorial Scholarship - The Dr. Lynne White Memorial Scholarship is given in memory of Dr. White who graduated from Colorado State with an M.S. in Consumer Affairs in 1980 and considered her graduate work at the university to be one of the most valuable experiences of her life. Selection is based on potential for a high level of professional achievement in the field of study, with financial need considered.
Ethen Westbrook recipient of the Eddie Hanna Memorial Scholarship - The Eddie Hanna Memorial Scholarship was established by family and friends of Eddie, a football player for CSU, who died of a heart attack following the 1949 opening game in Colorado Springs. Eddieâ??s Ram football number, 21, was retired after his death at age 24. This award is available to sophomores, juniors, or seniors majoring in Health and Exercise Science who have distinguished themselves in some form of athletics.
Robert Duran recipient of the Egg & I Restaurant Scholarship - The Egg & I Restaurant/Rayno and Patricia Seaser Scholarship is given to a junior or senior majoring in Restaurant and Resort Management. Student recipients must maintain a 3.0 GPA, have been employed in the local food service industry within the past year, and demonstrate financial need. Rayno and Patricia Seaser are the founders and owners of The Egg & I Restaurants, which were established in 1987. The Seasers now own several restaurants in Colorado and Wyoming. Rayno and Patty are active in the community and have an affinity for Colorado State University as they hire many CSU students to work in their restaurants. They established this scholarship to share their passion for food service and their love of people.

Dean Gifford passed away in 1997 and bequeathed part of her estate to the endowment. This scholarship is awarded to junior, senior, or graduate students majoring in a Family and Consumer Sciences-related field. Selection is based on leadership in campus, community, and professional activities.

Andrea Fitch recipient of the Elizabeth Dyar Gifford Scholarship - The Elizabeth Dyar Gifford Scholarship was established by friends of Dean Gifford in honor of her 34 years of service at Colorado State. Jordan Illian recipient of the Gerald Ricke Memorial Scholarship - The purpose of this scholarship is to memorialize one of the true mentors in the construction industry, Gerald Ricke. Gerald "Rick" Ricke worked for over 50 years in the construction industry, starting in his teenage years as a carpenter and advancing to General SuperintendentIProject Manager. His list of projects ranged from heavy industrial to schools and hospitals. Rick was a true mentor and motivator to the young graduate through the experienced manager. Many who had the pleasure of working with him owe their successful careers to his leadership and support. He was one of the finest "old school" teachers who truly cared about all who wanted to learn. We want his leadership to continue by supporting worthy candidates who have the same passion.

Greg Keller was a framing subcontractor for KEM Homes for approximately 25 years. Not only was Greg friendly and well-liked, but he was also respected for his knowledge and quality workmanship. The recipient must be an active member of the student chapter of the Northern Colorado Homebuilders Association and have passed the residential contractorâ??s license test or have three years of framing experience.
Mayra Chacon recipient of the Hazle S. and Charles F. Mason Scholarship - The Hazle S. and Charles F. Mason Scholarship is established by their family in their memory. Hazle and Charles Mason supported the educational attainment of their own five children and this scholarship is established to honor their foresight and support. Hazle was a junior high school history and geography teacher and Charles a sales manager. Both saw education as an important aspect of personal development and themselves never stopped learning throughout their lives. Marissa Hampel recipient of the Janet J. Fritz Scholarship - Janet Fritz taught in the Department of Human Development and Family Studies for 35 years - from 1969 to 2004. Scholarships supported her education as a freshman at the University of Colorado through her doctorate at Cornell University. After working as a child psychologist at Johns Hopkins and Massachusetts General Hospitals she began her career as a university professor. She was active in faculty governance at CSU, in programs supporting women faculty and students, and as coordinator of the Child Life program. Her research interests and teaching of undergraduate and graduate students gave her great joy. The purpose of the Fund is to provide scholarships to incoming freshman in the College of Applied Human Sciences enrolled in the Human Development and Family Studies Department.

Kathryn Murray recipient of the Kelly Walker-Haley Health Promotion Scholarship - The Kelly Walker-Haley Health Promotion Scholarship acknowledges a student’s outstanding leadership and service in health promotion to the Department of Health and Exercise Science, the University, and the community. Kelly Walker-Haley was the Coordinator of Clinical Experience and the Director of the Wellness Promotion concentration in the Department of Exercise and Sports Science (now Health and Exercise Science) for eight years. Her unique enthusiasm and contagious sense of humor are greatly missed by students and faculty since her retirement due to Multiple Sclerosis. She is fondly described by faculty as an extremely kind and compassionate instructor and advisor who always made time for students. Kimberly Burke recipient of the Kelly Walker-Haley Health Promotion Scholarship - The Kelly Walker-Haley Health Promotion Scholarship acknowledges a student’s outstanding leadership and service in health promotion to the Department of Health and Exercise Science, the University, and the community. Kelly Walker-Haley was the Coordinator of Clinical Experience and the Director of the Wellness Promotion concentration in the Department of Exercise and Sports Science (now Health and Exercise Science) for eight years. Her unique enthusiasm and contagious sense of humor are greatly missed by students and faculty since her retirement due to Multiple Sclerosis. She is fondly described by faculty as an extremely kind and compassionate instructor and advisor who always made time for students. Recipients must be active in the Wellness Club and provide service to department, university, and community.
Jessica Haas recipient of the Kendall Graduate Scholarship - Patricia A. Kendall joined the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition in 1974 and has been an Extension Specialist specializing in food safety and nutrition since 1976 and also serves as the Associate Dean for Research. Dr. Kendall served as interim department head 1997-1999 and as graduate programs coordinator 1997-2000. She has had a long-term commitment to graduate education in the area of community nutrition and food safety education. The Kendall Graduate Scholarship was established by Dr. Kendall to support graduate students who are pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. in community nutrition and/or food safety education. The award is given to students who have been accepted into the dietetic internship program, have financial need, and have a GPA of 3.2 or greater.
Allison Hamm recipient of the Kevin Oltjenbruns/Jill Kreutzer Undergraduate Student Development Scholarship - The HDFS Undergraduate Student Development Scholarship is given to a student who has made multiple contributions to other students in Human Development and Family Studies. Sharon Blocker Memorial Scholarship is presented in memory of Dr. Blocker, a faculty member in the School of Education from 1990-97, who was instrumental in starting the first Partnership School relationship in Fort Collins. Partnership Schools pair with the Colorado State teacher training program to provide hands-on experiential learning for student teachers. Sahvanna Rose recipient of the Lydia Anne Hoffman Morrison Centennial Scholarship - The Lydia Anne Hoffman Morrison Centennial Scholarship was established by her family in 1994 in honor of Mrs. Morrison, who received a Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics in 1916. She turned 100 years old in October 1993 and was recognized at Colorado State’s 100th birthday party for Home Economics. Lydia passed away in 1996 at the age of 102. Nadine was a 1941 Home Economics graduate and Jim graduated from the Animal Sciences program in 1940. Jim passed away in 2006. The award is given to undergraduates with a 3.0 GPA seeking careers in the food science and human nutrition area, who demonstrate ability in practical decision-making and common sense judgment. student club activities and community volunteer participation are required. The scholarship automatically renews for up to four years if recipients continue to meet the criteria.

Sims Memorial Scholarship is given by his daughter, Lori Sims, Director of Development for the college, and her husband, Vern Dosmann. Mr. Sims dealt with poverty issues most of his life. As a young man he had to quit school to support his siblings, and as a father, he supported college degrees for each of his nine children. This $1,000 scholarship is given to a full time student who plans a career working with poverty prevention.
Grace Donnalley recipient of the Prudence M. Kaley Scholarship - The Prudence M. Kaley Scholarship was established by Prue Kaley, a 1972 graduate of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University. Prue is a real estate agent in Fort Collins with The Group. The $1,972 scholarship, which commemorates the year that Prue graduated, is awarded to a full time graduate student in the department who demonstrates financial need.

The RCA promotes education, ethics, and overall excellence in the retail construction industry. Sally developed and administered the merchandising internship program in Design and Merchandising for 25 years and was a beloved faculty member devoted to helping students. Kinsey Kappeler recipient of the Sophie Pearson Study Abroad Scholarship - Sophie Pearson, 2009 CSU Interior Design graduate, is a multi-talented artist and interior designer. Travel has also been a love of Sophieâ??s throughout her life, culminating in her study abroad experience in Florence, Italy the spring semester of her junior year. Four months of living in Florence with its beautiful art and architecture and the opportunity to see other parts of Europe changed Sophieâ??s life. She came back to Colorado with an increased enthusiasm for her career choice and decided that she wanted to explore living in a different part of the country. Her parents, John and Camy Cooney, established the study abroad scholarship in her honor and hope that the scholarship and opportunity to study abroad will change other studentsâ?? lives as well.

Rachel Ohene recipient of the Wanda Mayberry Scholarship - Wanda Mayberry was a professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy for 26 years before her retirement in 2000. Wanda taught, advised, and mentored students; developed courses and curricula; and served as acting department head. The Wanda Mayberry Scholarship was established by friends and colleagues of Wanda to pay tribute to her outstanding career. The scholarship is for students who have successfully completed level one fieldwork, have approval to begin Level II fieldwork, and show financial need. Students from rural settings or who are non-traditional age students are encouraged to apply.
