Goal 1: BUILD Overview

BUILD programs of excellence and establish leadership in four interdisciplinary thematic areas reflective of the college’s mission, expertise, and opportunities for academic growth and meaningful impact:
a. mental and behavioral health;
b. design and build;
c. workforce development to address shortages in critical areas including health/public health, nursing, education, and infrastructure systems, and;
d. human-centered leadership in CSU’s OneHealth initiative. Each initiative reflects interdisciplinary collaborations within the college and across colleges.
The College of Health and Human Sciences has always been a nexus for people and disciplines that nurture, engage, build, and advocate. Expanding on expertise in our academic disciplines, our work crosses boundaries, translates research discovery into tangible community outcomes, designs sustainable solutions, explores possibilities, and prepares graduates to make a difference.
