Center for Community Partnerships Better Sleep for Veterans
We partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project to develop a program helping college veterans get better sleep.
In 2015 the Wounded Warrior Project awarded a grant to the “Restoring Effective Sleep Tranquility in College Veterans with Service Related Injuries” or “REST” project at Colorado State University. The project’s sleep intervention includes evidence-based strategies shown to improve sleep quality and duration.
The REST multi-disciplinary team is led by Dr. Aaron Eakman. Our team includes members from:
- CSU Department of Occupational Therapy
- Center for Community Partnerships and the
- Assistive Technology and Resource Center
- CSU Department of Psychology and Mindfulness Institute
- University of Colorado Health.

Your REST program (and sleep in general) has changed my life.
“I got a job in Grand Junction and my sleep has been constant…..I wake up at 5am and am going to bed at 9pm. Full eight almost every night, and life is good. Thanks for everything.”
