Celebrating our graduates at the end of the semester is one of our favorite School of Education traditions.
Because our graduates participate in commencement exercises through the College of Health and Human Sciences (our Family and Consumer Sciences graduates) or the Graduate School (our master’s and doctoral graduates), we hold a commencement celebration event after the commencement ceremonies.
Each celebration is a little different, but they all have one thing in common: we want this event to be a time for you to connect one last time with your cohort and faculty before officially becoming an alumnus or alumna.
What to Expect Spring 2020 Commencement Celebration Details - POSTPONED!
At Colorado State University, our priority is the health and well-being of our students and their families, our faculty and staff, and our entire CSU community. CSU is closely monitoring and following COVID-19 guidance as outlined by public health experts.
After much consideration, we have made the very difficult but necessary decision to postpone the Spring 2020 ceremonies. Recognizing the important milestone of being a part of the formal commencement ceremony, the spring and summer graduates will be invited to walk alongside fellow Rams during the Fall 2020 ceremonies.
With the decision to unite both May and December ceremonies, we anticipate releasing an updated Fall 2020 schedule as we are able.
Please visit the University’s information about COVID-19 webpage to read more about the University’s pandemic preparedness planning, other updates, and protocols for the campus community, including President McConnell’s most recent message to campus.
Parking and Transportation
Visitors have several options for parking and transportation. Visit the CSU Parking and Transportation Services website for detailed information about these options. Please note: parking signs are strictly enforced, both on campus and in the surrounding neighborhoods. We recommend reviewing the information on the Parking and Transportation Services website prior to your visit to campus.
The Graduate School’s ceremony takes place at Moby Arena prior to our celebration. To get to Moby, you may walk or ride the Around the Horn shuttle (free while on campus). You can find info and schedules for Around the Horn here.

Photo Booth Fun
Our photo booth is quickly becoming a favorite part of our celebration. Plan to get your photos taken—with and/or without props—with your family, friends, cohort, and faculty. The photos will be available on Flickr; feel free to download your high-resolution files suitable for printing. We’ll also post them to an album on our Facebook page; feel free to share yours from there as well.
Take a minute to reflect on your graduate school journey, offer words of wisdom to current and future students or share what it means to you to be a RamGrad in our new video “booth”. Videos will be made available via download at a later date; a link will be emailed to participants when the videos are ready.
(Please note: based on availability, the video booth may not be available at every event.)
