Through the Lens: Life Beyond Young Adult Cancer
“Through the Lens: Life Beyond Cancer” features the artwork of 16 young adult cancer survivors from across the country. Each artist tells their personal story, revealing lived experiences of identity, loss, grief, struggles, hope, and transformation – perspectives that are often unseen in traditional cancer narratives. Through photographs, stories, paintings, and poetry, these survivors invite viewers to witness the raw edges and luminous moments that define life after cancer for young adults. Through their art, they advocate for equitable cancer care for young adults. The project is generously funded by Cambria Health Foundation and curated by members of The Serious Illness and End-of-Life Narratives Lab at Colorado State University and Through the Lens Young Adult Advisory Board, a group of 8 young adults guiding the vision for this exhibit.
