Citrix is a web-based portal that allows you to connect to a virtual desktop. It provides you with access to your M: drive and other network storage (P:, S:, R:, and X: drives), as well as specific software packages. Citrix is accessible from on or off campus and is available to CHHS faculty, staff, and students.

What Software is Available?

  • Adobe Acrobat (faculty/staff only)
  • Amos Graphics
  • EndNote
  • Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote
  • SPSS
  • Web browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer

How do I connect?

When using a desktop or laptop, Citrix can be accessed either though a web browser or directly using the Citrix Receiver software. Most web browsers will give you the option to use the light version of the Receiver, which doesn't require installing any additional software. In the light version, the Citrix desktop is rendered within the browser. Note that printing is not available in the light version.

When using a mobile device (e.g., Android or iOS), you will need to install the Citrix Receiver client from the App Store or Google Play.

Connecting Through a Web Browser

  • Open a web browser and go to
  • Enter your CSU eName and ePassword and log on
  • If your browser supports it, you'll have the option to "Use light version", which doesn't require the Citrix Receiver.
  • If you don't have the option or don't want to use the light version, click "Detect Receiver". If you don't yet have Receiver installed, you'll have to agree to the Citrix license agreement and download and install the software.
  • Click the desktop available to launch Citrix

Connecting Through the Citrix Receiver

  • If you don't already have the Citrix Receiver installed, download and install the software from
  • Desktop or Laptop:
  • iOS: App Store (search for Citrix Receiver)
  • Android: Google Play (search for Citrix Receiver)
  • When prompted to provide a server address, enter
  • Enter your CSU eName and ePassword to connect. You may be prompted twice.
  • Click the desktop available to launch Citrix
