Software

The College provides a number of software packages to our faculty, staff, and students. Following is a list of some of these software packages and how they are licensed. Unless otherwise noted, these applications can only be installed on computers owned by the college or one of its units. For more information or to request that an application be installed on your CHHS computer, please contact our Helpdesk at 491-3458.

Software Available to Students for Home Use

A limited number of software packages are available to students in the college for use on their home computers. Please note that the college is not responsible for supporting the installation or troubleshooting of these packages. When registering and downloading software from these sites, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions specific to that software vendor.

Autodesk

Autodesk software packages are available for free to students through Autodesk’s Education Community, http://students.autodesk.com/.

Students will need to register and log in before downloading the software.

Microsoft Office

Microsoft Office 2013 Pro Plus is available to all current students, faculty, and staff for home use. Users can download and use Microsoft Office on up to 5 personal computers as long as they are affiliated with CSU.

PDF Creation Software

To create PDFs for free, students can use freeware called CutePDF (http://www.cutepdf.com/).

Qualtrics

Available to all university faculty, staff, and students. To access, visit https://colostate.qualtrics.com/ and log in with your eID and ePassword.

SPSS

SPSS is available to students, faculty, and staff through Citrix, a virtual remote desktop environment accessible at https://citrix.chhs.colostate.edu. More information on Citrix can be found at https://www.chhs.colostate.edu/technology/index.aspx#citrix.

Adobe Acrobat Professional

Available to all CHHS faculty and staff. Installed by default.

AntiVirus - Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection

Available to all CHHS faculty and staff. Installed by default.

AutoDesk

Available by request and only for CHHS instructors who teach using AutoDesk products.

BlueJeans (Online Meeting Software)

BlueJeans is available to the College for scheduling online meetings and video conferencing. BlueJeans allows the sharing of audio, video, and participants' screens and participants can join from Windows, Mac, and mobile devices. To request an online meeting, fill out the request form here. EndNote

Available to all CHHS faculty and staff. Installed by default.

LabView

Available by request to all CHHS faculty and staff.

Microsoft Windows

Available to all CHHS faculty and staff. Installed by default.

Microsoft Office

Available to all CHHS faculty and staff. Installed by default.

One copy of SPSS is available to faculty for use on their home computers. To obtain a copy, fill out the SPSS Home-Use Form for CHHS Employees. After you've filled the form out, contact the Helpdesk for instructions to obtain the media and license.
