Are you interested in supporting adults with intellectual disabilities at CSU? Apply to become a RAM Scholars Peer Mentor and make a meaningful impact—while gaining valuable experience and course credit!
What Peer Mentors Do
As a RAM Scholars Peer Mentor, you will:
- Provide one-on-one support to RAM Scholars in and out of the classroom
- Help Scholars build career-related skills in agriculture and STEM fields
- Support academic success, communication, and independent living skills
- Collaborate with CSU faculty and staff in Human Development and Family Studies and Occupational Therapy
How Peer Mentoring Benefits You
- Earn HDFS course credit or complete an HDFS internship experience
- Volunteer and gain hands-on experience working with neurodiverse learners
- Build professional skills for careers in education, allied health, social work, and related fields
- Learn about plant sciences and animal sciences—no prior knowledge in these areas required!
Who Should Apply?

- Are studying Human Development, Occupational Therapy, Education, or related fields
- Want to gain experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
