Treatment

About CTRAC Treatment Services

The CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center (CTRAC) offers evidence-based treatment services for children and adolescents ages 6–18, as well as family-based therapy services.

Treatment sessions are typically provided weekly. CTRAC accepts Medicaid and self-pay clients. Following the intake assessment, the treating clinician will recommend the treatment approach that best meets the needs of the child and family.

Therapies Offered

Trauma Resiliency Model (TRM)

TRM is a biologically based approach that helps individuals understand and manage the effects of trauma. The model focuses on how the nervous system responds to stress and perceived threats, teaching skills to support regulation, resilience, and well-being.

Modular Approach to Therapy for Children (MATCH)

MATCH is an evidence-based treatment designed to address a range of concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and behavioral challenges. Children and families learn practical skills and strategies that can be tailored to their unique needs and goals.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

TF-CBT is an evidence-based treatment that helps children and adolescents recover from the effects of traumatic experiences.

This approach reduces trauma-related symptoms and strengthens supportive relationships between children and their caregivers.

Alternatives for Families: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT)

AF-CBT is a trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy designed for families with children and adolescents experiencing conflict, behavior concerns, or a history of abuse.

The treatment focuses on developing healthy communication, coping, emotional regulation, and problem-solving skills to strengthen family relationships.

Fee and Payment Options

CTRAC and FRC accept Medicaid insurance and offer self-pay options. Self-pay fees are available on a sliding fee scale based on household income. Please find the sliding fee scale:
