Nathaniel R. Riggs, Ph.D. Message from the Executive Director
Welcome to the Colorado State University Prevention Research Center. I’m happy you are visiting our website during this exciting period of growth. Since the PRC was established in 2014, we have created a robust community of staff, students, and affiliate faculty who love the work we do. At the PRC, we not only conduct rigorous and innovative prevention science research, we also provide training for the next generation of prevention scientists and community prevention practitioners, and engage community organizations to implement and test new interventions designed to build health and prevent problems for individuals and families across the lifespan.
Please spend some time touring our many research, training, and engagement activities. I think you will find that collaboration is at the heart of everything that we do at the PRC. So, if you are a prevention scientist, please reach out if you identify opportunities for collaborative research projects. If you are a student, consider working with the PRC during your graduate studies or applying to our undergraduate internship and research associate programs. If you are a community prevention service provider, please take advantage of our many prevention training and program evaluation services.
Finally, don’t be a stranger. We’ll continue to update our website with new information and opportunities to become involved with the PRC. You can also email us at prevention@colostate.edu to receive our newsletter and we will update you on all the exciting things taking place at the PRC.
