CCI Confirmation Details
You have now gained access to both versions of this survey, including the full-length CCI and the CCI-Short Form (CCI-SF). The CCI-SF is especially useful in pre/posttest program evaluations because it is brief (12 items) and strongly correlated with the full-length version of the CCI. However, we recommend that the 42-item version be used in working with communities to develop their civic capacity because of the diagnostic detail it provides about dimensions of community-driven change.
Note: If you need this survey translated to another language, we can do so using Qualtrics for many languages. However, there is no guarantee that the translation will be 100% accurate. Please email david.macphee@colostate.edu for some suggestions on options for translation.
The CCI forms are available now for you to download and administer in paper format. Some agencies may find it useful to convert the survey to an online platform, such as Qualtrics, for data analysis purposes. Please be sure to keep the survey’s wording exactly as presented to maintain fidelity to protocol. In addition, consider utilizing the resources at the Prevention Research of Colorado State University for your survey support needs.
We believe in open access practices and strive to offer helpful materials, such as the CCI and CCI-SF, at no cost to the user. The PRC also offers support for getting the highest benefit from the CCI and CCI-SF. Supports that may be universally available for survey users can be found below at no cost. When supports are specific to a project or community, then we can provide that support as a fee-for-service. Our diverse research team ranges on experience level from graduate students to professor emeritus faculty with over 40 years of experience in Prevention Science. Fee-for-service prices will start at $25 per hour depending on the level of expertise required for the specific project.
