Human Development and Family Studies Engagement and Extension
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is committed to the land-grant mission of engagement and extension. We showcase our community involvement through several centers and programs.
Our Centers and Programs
Our research-based centers and programs are committed to parents, couples, individuals, caregivers, and early childhood and school-age professionals. We want to give them the option to do things differently to create a better future for themselves and their families.
Centers for Counseling, Assessment, and Mentoring (C-CAM)
C-CAM includes three community serving programs: the Center for Couple and Family Therapy, CSU Trauma and Resilience Assessment Center, and Campus Connections Youth Mentoring. Each of these programs encompasses a shared mission to provide high quality counseling, assessment, and mentoring services that promote the well-being of children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families while training empirically grounded, social-justice minded, and skilled helping professionals.
