How to Prepare Your Site for CORE Testing
Site Requirements
- Please provide a training room or like room for testing. Please consider this location carefully as personnel will need to do skinfold testing and ECG. If you have female firefighters a more private room may be necessary.
- Outlets to plug in electronic equipment
- Tables and chairs
Scheduling
- We need a minimum of 10 people to participate in the screening.
- We encourage agencies to contact their neighboring departments to reduce travel costs.
- Please submit a tentative final schedule with the total number of participants one week prior to your testing date.
- Please send us a final schedule with approximate testing times at least two business days in advance.
- Evaluations should take approximately 20-30 minutes per individual.
- Late additions will not be guaranteed a spot for testing. We inventory based off of the final schedule provided two weeks prior to your testing date.
Reimbursement
- Your department may be eligible for reimbursement through the Colorado Firefighter Heart and Cancer Benefits Trust. Please visit the Trust website.
- You can find information about our program and links to all of our paperwork on the Cardiac One Risk Evaluation program website.
