Summer Camps General Overview
The Youth Sport Camps are a twelve-week day-camp program of sports activities for children between the ages of 5 and 13. The 2023 camp season runs from May 30 – Aug. 11. Camps run from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
One-week sessions are offered in baseball/softball, basketball, field sports, inline hockey, lacrosse, soccer, volleyball.
In addition, we feature our FunLIFE (Learning to Improve Fitness and Eating) camp again this year, which combines sports and physical activity with healthy lessons and curriculum.
This summer, we also feature Music and Movement which combines aerobic dance, rhythms, and martial arts movement with music.
Continuing this year is our Sport Science camp! Ever wonder how a curve ball curves? How your brain and muscles talk to each other? How your muscles help you move? Why you feel better after you exercise? Join us and explore these questions as we explore the science involved in sport and exercise (ages 9 and up).
As always, we will be featuring our Super Sport Camp, which is a traditional day-camp program that is offered in two-week sessions. The Super Sport Camp includes a focus activity (basketball/volleyball, soccer, baseball/softball, team/field sports, and track and field), plus group activities, swim lessons, and field trips.
The Outdoor Adventure Camp is designed for our older campers to help them experience some of what Colorado has to offer in outdoor activities. Depending on weather, our anticipated activities include bicycling, hiking, geo-caching, exploring, and other outdoor pursuits. Due to the off-campus activities, this camp is open only to those campers aged 9 and over.
Our Extreme Outdoor Adventure Camp is also for the older campers, ages 10 and up only. This camp includes an overnight trip to the CSU Mountain Campus, whitewater rafting, outdoor rock climbing, and mountain biking or paddle boarding. The kids will have an extremely good time!
Returning this year are Tennis, held at the CSU tennis complex, and Golf, held at the Fort Collins Country Club. Both of these camps are in the morning only from 8 – 10 a.m. Campers may continue on to one of our full-day camps for the remainder for the camp day.
Please note: All camps are strategically designed to be both progressive and independent. This means that campers can sign up for one or several sessions of the same activity, and campers will progress through a series of groups as they advance in skill level. It is not necessary to sign up for Session 1 of a sport before you sign up for Session 2. They are numbered chronologically, not progressively.
All camps (except Tennis and Golf) will be full-day sessions held from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. daily. Campers can arrive after 8:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 4:30 p.m. Tennis and Golf campers should arrive at 7:55 a.m. and depart by 10:10 a.m. All campers (except in Tennis and Golf) can utilize our Before- and After-Care program, which is available at both facilities (South College and Moby) from 7:30 – 9 a.m. and 4 – 5:30 p.m. The additional cost for day care is $5 per visit per child.
Campers should bring a water bottle and sunscreen every day, and a sack lunch Monday–Thursday. Pizza will be provided for lunch on Fridays.
Wish Youth Sport Camps was year round? Join us for our After School Program during the school year! This program focuses on keeping children physically active and includes a variety of activities. Check out the After School Program section to learn more!

This program is on a drop-in basis. No prior registration or notification is required.
Please note this is unstructured time for the campers under the supervision of our staff. While we have some smaller activities such as coloring pages, card games, etc., and campers are welcome to bring their own camp-appropriate activity.
