Summer Camps Scholarship Program
The purpose of the Youth Sport Camps financial aid program is to provide campers with the means to further their physical and social development. We welcome all families who believe in their children and in their ability to succeed.
All applicants are encouraged to seek possible sources of funding within their schools and communities. There are several scholarship-granting agencies in the area, and many of our families have been successful in receiving funds from these agencies. For a list of agencies, please contact ysc@colostate.edu, or contact other youth-serving agencies on the internet or in person. The vast majority of scholarship assistance for Youth Sport Camps comes from external sources. To make a donation to the program, please visit the YSC online giving page.
The YSC scholarship program is supported through donations from individuals and external organizations. We do our best to offer assistance to families in need. Historically, our applications for assistance have far outweighed our finances, resulting in “partial tuition” scholarships (generally 30-50% of full tuition). Camper families are responsible for the remaining balance.
Financial Aid Opportunities
- Campers may receive only ONE financial aid award per camp year from funds provided by Youth Sport Camps.
- Financial aid is available for all camp sessions, but scholarships are offered equally across recipients, so more expensive camps require a greater family contribution.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
- Send a note (electronic or hard copy) expressing your need or specific situation (along with a notation of your desired camp session) to ysc@colostate.edu.
- We understand that all situations are unique, therefore, we try to provide funding for all families who request it. Please be sure to assess your need before applying.
