As we finish some large projects, we are transitioning our volunteer opportunities to better reflect the needs of the museum. We now offer several museum and community based volunteer opportunities and invite you to explore the options that best align with your interests, skills, and availability. We welcome anyone who would like to become a volunteer to participate in any capacity that fits their schedule!
Monthly Volunteer Day
Individuals and groups are invited to sign up for monthly sessions to work on a variety of tasks around the museum. Every month we will complete different tasks working with the collection, producing exhibitions, or preparing for a program. View available dates and sign up today!
Make & Mend Facilitator
Share your sewing knowledge at our monthly Make & Mend events! During these drop-in style events, community members bring in textile and mending projects of all types and sometimes need assistance. Our Make & Mend Facilitators help support all types of textile projects to the best of their ability. You don’t have to be an expert- we are all learning together- but some basic sewing and mending knowledge is helpful. Make & Mends happen the first Saturday of every month; sign up to be a facilitator today!
Museum Ambassadors
Do you love the Avenir Museum and want to share that passion with others in our community? The museum is looking for volunteers to help promote its exhibition and program offerings around Fort Collins. As a Museum Ambassador, you’ll have the chance to speak with community members and spread the word about the museum at events in the Fort Collins area. Volunteers will also help distribute flyers and advocate for the museum in their communities. Sign up coming soon!
Special Assignments
