The transition from high school to college is a giant leap….a BRIDGE makes it easier!
The Bridge Program is for incoming CSU students with a disability and their families. This two and a half day program is designed to ease the transition to higher education and campus life.
Here is what you can expect from your participation in the Bridge Program:
- Move-in to your residence hall early.
- Personalized tours to locate your classes, dining, activities, places to study, and resources.
- Information and tips from peer mentors on self-advocacy for your success in college.
- Strategies for families on how to support their student in higher education.
- Opportunities to meet new friends and important people on campus.
- Learn how to identify and use campus resources, academic supports, and accommodations.
- Connect to ongoing support through our supported education program, Opportunities for Postsecondary Success.
Bridge 2023 Schedule & Information

Day 1 – Sunday, August 13th
- 9:00– 9:15 am: Program Check-In, meet Bridge staff, Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 103
- 9:15 – 10:00 am: Bridge Welcome and Introductions
- 10:00 – 11:00 am: Student Leader Tips for Success
- 11:00– 11:15 am: Break/Getting Ready for the Semester to-dos
- 11:15 – 12:00 pm: Tour CCP, TILT, Secret Study Spots, Student Disability Center
- 12:00 pm – 4:30 pm: Lunch on Your Own/Residence Hall Move-In
Day 2 – Monday, August 14th
- 9:00 – 9:45 am: Residence Life Presentation, Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 103
- 9:45 – 10:45 am: College Transitions
- Students – Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 103
- Parents – Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 100
- 10:45 – Walk to Morgan Library
- 11:00 – 12:15: Library tour and Assistive Technology Resource Center Presentation
- 12:15 – 1:15: Lunch at Braiden Dining Hall
- 1:15 -2:15:
- Students – Individual student tours/get student IDs
- Parents – Parent and Family Programs Presentation, Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 103
- 2:15 – 3:00 CANVAS/RamWeb/Books/Clickers
Day 3 – Tuesday, August 15th
- 9:00 – 10:00 am: Self Advocacy, A Peer’s Perspective, Occupational Therapy Building Rm. 103
- 10:00 – 10:30 am: Ram Welcome
- 10:30 – 10:40 am: Break
- 10:40 – Noon: Questions/Meet with Your OPS Coordinator
