Center for Community Partnerships Thrive
Thrive offers young adults the opportunity to participate in career exploration and gain skills for future employment. All participants will take part in the four-week classroom-based modules and will have the opportunity to complete an optional 10-20 hour internship. The classroom-based modules include: participating in industry tours, identifying career interests, understanding strengths and potential accommodations, and practicing employment skills. The internship component will allow participants to boost their resume and apply the skills they learned in the classroom modules to an employment setting. Thrive is a fee-for-service program that operates in collaboration with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Thrive occurs every summer, with the four-week class typically starting in early June and optional internships taking place in July and early August (depending on the internship site and student availability). Applications for the Thrive Program are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be open until March 1st.
