HABIC trains and sponsors volunteer animal therapy teams who help build trust, strengthen relationships, and facilitate the therapeutic process with people of all ages in hospitals, schools, assisted living facilities, and more places.

HABIC offers courses and certificates through Colorado State University to allow working professionals to value the science behind the human-animal bond, learn more about its benefits, and use them to help the populations they serve.

As a nonprofit center in Colorado State University’s School of Social Work, HABIC supports ongoing research studies to explore outcomes of human-animal interactions for health and wellbeing.
