Human Development and Family Studies Treatment, Intervention, and Prevention Science

This area emphasizes coursework and research in basic and applied sciences. We conduct research on processes of adaptive and maladaptive human development across the lifespan. We also design and evaluate programs to promote positive development and prevent problem behaviors. The research is conducted in settings such as schools and community agencies, and with individuals, couples, and families.
