Our Vision and Mission
Vision
The School of Education at Colorado State University will be known for our development and support of practitioners and scholars who embrace and enact the principles of justice, equity, and inclusion in all educational efforts. We will do this work in ways that are collaborative, courageous, innovative, relevant, impactful, and respectful of the individuals, communities, and organizations with whom and for whom we work.
Mission
Through teaching, research, and practice the School of Education seeks to positively affect the lives of individuals, communities, and organizations, locally and globally. This work is guided by our collective commitment to collaboration, innovation, relevance, and courage in the face of systemic and pervasive inequities and injustices.
A message from Albert Bimper, Interim Director
The School of Education at Colorado State University represents a remarkable place where we come together to engage a nexus of perspectives on the current state and future of education while preparing and empowering students to transform lives through education. I am humbled and honored to step into the role of Interim Director of the school to lead in a shared pursuit of a vision to meet the challenges and opportunities of today’s land-grant mission with a commitment to access, equity, justice, and excellence. While the landscape of education offers much to be interrogated, I am inspired by our students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the school to join a collective mission to make real the transformative power of education. Go Rams!
