Social Work in Costa Rica
This two-week CSU faculty-led program examines social work practice in Costa Rica through cultural immersion. Visits into the community and guest lecturers from social service agencies will give firsthand experiences to students of social work in another country. Students will gain conversational Spanish language skills for social workers in morning Spanish classes and be able to practice the language with their host families and during community visits. Coursework and experiential learning will help students to develop strategies for dealing with human differences in their professional practice.
