Our highly-recognized programs feature industry collaborations, service-learning, and national competitions providing hands-on learning opportunities for students. The undergraduate program is the only program in Colorado accredited by the American Council for Construction Education and has been accredited since 1985.

Programs and Degrees

Construction Management is the overall planning, coordination, and control of a project from inception to completion. Construction managers work with architects and engineers to make the client’s vision a reality and provide creative solutions to the complex challenges inherent in the construction of state-of-the-art structures. CM is one of the most popular majors at Colorado State University and features one of the highest placement rates and entry-level salaries of all majors.

The CM Phelps Placement Office offers in-house internship and job search assistance and counseling, including a construction industry career fair each semester, industry interviews, and year-round intern and job postings.

Competition Teams

Professional associations in the construction industry sponsor national student competitions, which offers you an excellent opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. CSU teams regularly place among the top teams nationally in various competitions.

Connecting to the Community

CM Cares

Promotes leadership through service learning by teaming students, faculty, staff, and industry partners to assist with construction-related projects for people with special needs or local nonprofits needing assistance.
