Prospective Graduate Students
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University provides an excellent environment in which to pursue graduate work. Students can earn a Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Science, and focus their studies in family relationships and/or adolescent development. Note that students can enter this program with either a completed master’s degree or a completed bachelor’s degree. Students entering with their bachelor’s will be required to first complete a Master’s in Human Development and Family Studies before moving on to the requirement for the Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Science.
Students can also pursue a Master’s in Prevention Science or in Marriage and Family Therapy.
