The Department of Health and Exercise Science offers one week of “Open Advising” each semester (in October during the Fall and April during the Spring) to assist students in mentoring, graduate school information and course selection. Schedules will be posted and updated each semester.

Advising appointments are not necessary during this open-advising period. Students are asked to come prepared with their class selections written down. Open Advising is open to Health and Exercise Science students who have completed more than 60 credit hours and have at least a 2.0 cumulative CSU GPA. If you are a Health and Exercise Science freshman or sophomore, please schedule an appointment with an Academic Success Coordinator.
Health and Exercise Science Change of Major Process
Students interested in changing their major to Health and Exercise Science, adding HES as a second major, or simply exploring the major, MUST ATTEND AN INFORMATION SESSION. RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org for one of the sessions below. In your email please include the specific date you plan to attend, your name, your CSU ID number and current major (or undeclared), and intended concentration (Sports Medicine or Health Promotion). Sessions that have no RSVPs or that have late arrivals will be cancelled.
