Student Affairs and Admissions Committee
The Student Affairs and Admissions Committee (SAAC) is responsible for managing program policy development and implementation. This committee also oversees the policies and procedures for admission to the MSW Program, reports admissions data to School Council, provides oversight in re-admission or academic dismissal procedures, and supports the student grievance or appeal processes.
Curriculum Committee
The Curriculum Committee serves to manage and evaluate course changes considering the Council on Social Work Education accreditation standards and school outcomes. The committee provides leadership in the development and coordination of these changes and assures consistency and effectiveness. Changes proposed by the committee must receive a majority vote by the school council to be adopted.

Committee for Social Justice
The Committee for Social Justice (CSJ) is a collaborative workgroup of students, employees, alumni, and community members who strive to advance diversity, equity, inclusion, justice, and belonging in the school and beyond. The CSJ supports a variety of initiatives around advocacy, collaboration, guidance to the School, and education.
Scholarship Committee
The Scholarship Committee is made up of School of Social Work employees who review scholarship applications submitted by students to best advocate for their funding at the College level. In their review process, committee members try to match the donor’s funding criteria with the lived experiences and interests of School of Social Work students.
Ph.D. Committee
The Ph.D. Program Committee provides oversight of the program and its mission, goals, curriculum, policies, and procedures. The committee advises the program director on policy decisions, provides input and guidance on curricular and program of study changes, conducts admission reviews, and informs broad program goals and objectives. It includes both faculty and student representatives.
Promotion and Tenure Committee
The Tenure, Merit, and Promotion Committee conducts annual reviews of pre-tenure faculty members’ progress toward tenure as well as of continuing, contract, and adjunct faculty in their third year of appointment. These reviews are to give constructive feedback to faculty for professional development and they also provide information to the School Director for the faculty members’ annual performance reviews. In addition, the TMP committee reviews all applications for tenure and/or promotion, including the promotion of continuing, contract, and adjunct faculty to a higher rank.
