All resources are accessible to individuals of all identities and are available as educational materials for student use.
Resource Categories
Financial Support and Basic Needs
- Emergency Financial Support for Students – Lighten the Load Fund (one-time support)
- Rams Against Hunger – food pantry, pocket pantries on campus, food security resources, in-person assistance with navigating federal aid eligibility
- Foco Cafe – “Pay what you can or volunteer in exchange for your meal”
- Arboretum Coffee – support and employment for neighbors from various countries and refugees
- Adult Learner and Veteran Services (ALVS) – offers various resources and support for adult learners, including but not limited to veterans and student parents
- Financial Aid – includes information on student employment, scholarships/loans/grants, and Federal Financial Aid
- Office for Scholarship and Fellowship Advising – offers information and support regarding multiple external awards for students
- Student Case Management – support and advocacy for students, links to resources for basic and other needs
- Support Services for Undocumented, DACA, and ASSET students
- Student Legal Services – students who need legal assistance with immigration questions or concerns should contact SLS at (970) 491-1482. Student fees fund SLS, and there are no additional charges for students who use this resource
- Colorado Department of Human Services – information on food, energy, cash, disability, and employment assistance
- Commuter showers: provides showers for students to prepare for the day
Health, Mental Health, and Wellness
- Well-Being Hub – human resources that help is many aspects of life (Health & Wellness, Home & Family, Financial & Legal, Integrating Work & Life) and SilverCloud
- Health Network – medical and mental health services, billing and insurance support, health education & prevention
- Campus Recreation – offers group classes, personal training, outdoor programs, sports clubs, lessons
Affinity and Advocacy Spaces
- Queer Umbrella – affinity and action space for LGBTQIA+ social work students; Jen.Currin-McCulloch@colostate.edu is the contact person
- Elevate – peer mentoring program for first-generation, Pell-grant, BIPOC social work students of all identities; Shelbie.Engelking@colostate.edu is the contact person
- Committee for Social Justice – standing committee in the School of Social Work comprised of students and employees; Rachel.Selby@colostate.edu and Sofia.Webb@colostate.edu are the co-chairs
- Student Association of Social Workers – elected group of students representing their respective programs in shared governance in the School of Social Work; brendon.holloway@colostate.edu is the faculty adviser
Office of the Vice President for Inclusive Excellence (all Offices of Inclusive Excellence are open to students of all identities); includes cultural and resource center information, campus initiatives, trainings and resources, such as:
- Asian Pacific American Cultural Center: offers programming, student support, and mentorship; has resources for undocumented students
- Black/African American Cultural Center: includes media resource lists, Black-owned businesses, scholarship information, programming, and student support
- El Centro: provides support for Latinx/Latine students and community through engagement, academic supports, volunteer/leadership opportunities, cultural pride and empowerment; has resources for undocumented students and information on scholarships as well as Latinx/e-owned businesses
- Native American Cultural Center: offers tutoring, retreats and other programming, information on scholarships and aid, and connections with Indigenous faculty and staff
- Pride Resource Center: offers community, resources, advocacy, and training to support retention and thriving of LGBTQIA+ students and allies
- Survivor Advocacy and Foundational Education Center: provides survivor support services, feminist education, and community space
- Student Disability Center (SDC) – provides academic support resources and housing and academic accommodations for students with disabilities of any kind (temporary, mental health, permeant, acquired, etc.). Transportation options for students with physical temporary and permeant disability also refer to related partners.
Resources and Advocacy Networks for the Jewish Community
- Anti-Defamation League (ADL): provides resources, support, training, advocacy, and opportunities for involvement to help schools, communities, and society become more inclusive, respectful, and equitable toward the Jewish community
- Project Shema: an organization focusing on empowering Jewish leaders and engaging allies through offering training workshops, antisemitism education, and supportive resources
- American Jewish Committee (AJC): a global advocacy organization dedicated to advancing policies, building coalitions, training leaders, and promoting education and empowerment on behalf of the Jewish community
- Hillel of Colorado: affiliated with Hillel International; an inclusive and supportive community that engages the leadership of Jewish college students through social, educational, service, and wellness events
Resources and Advocacy Networks for the Islamic/Muslim Community
- Islamic Center of Fort Collins (ICFC): a Muslim organization that promotes religious, moral, and spiritual growth among its members and wider community through services, programs, and events that address the needs of the Islamic community
- Muslim Students Association of the U.S. & Canada (MSA): MSA National and its local chapters work to serve and empower Muslim students with leadership and character development through resources, campus activism, and connections for unified visions

- Student Conflict Resolution Center: offers services such as conflict coaching, restorative justice practices, mediation, training, and resources (student fee funded – no additional cost)
