Support this Research Project
Most research studies of this kind are funded by federal grants, from various National Institutes. However, there are federal-level restrictions on the use of public funds for any purpose related to Medical Aid in Dying. Because it remains controversial and inconsistently sanctioned, typical sources of funding, including philanthropic foundations, clinical professional associations, and the like, are not available. With severely limited data, patients, their caregivers, medical professionals, and policymakers are often shooting in the dark when trying to make monumental life-altering decisions. We believe they deserve better.
Your support of this project is an important step for us. While there are many individuals as well as independent and affiliated programs working in various seats to protect the integrity of end-of-life options, we believe that our common mission is to promote the evolution and ethical development of best practices for all persons and professions that impact our end-of-life choices. Given our fragmented information channels and fractured medical systems, our mutual support is critical.
Any donations are gratefully accepted and will help us launch our project. Donations of any amount are gratefully accepted and are tax-deductible, and we will ensure that you receive first notice of the study results when they are available.
Donations can also be made through our Assistant Director of Development, Chloe Swatek, chloe.swatek@colostate.edu or directly to the CSU Foundation by mailing a check to the following address:
