Individuals and their families who are directly impacted by the research outcomes and who generously volunteered their time to participate in the research.

  • The MNR lab disseminates the latest findings from their research to stroke and dementia support groups in northern Colorado and actively participates in events like the Denver Heart Walk and Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
  • In a podcast hosted by Center of Healthy Aging, Dr. Lodha talks about Stroke awareness – about different types of strokes and ways to recognize when a stroke is happening

Local community

  • Mobility assessments: The MNR Lab offers valuable outreach program through its Summer Mobility Clinic, offering driver education and mobility screenings to assess fall and driving risks for emerging drivers and older adults over 65.  
  • Fall prevention: The MNR Lab collaborates with the University of Colorado Health’s Aspen Club during Fall Prevention Day to provide fall screenings for older population in Larimer County.

Officials and Legislatures

Policy makers who can use our findings to drive meaningful changes in our society  

  • Dr. Lodha was invited to present her team’s work on driving assessment and rehabilitation at the Colorado Traffic Safety Summit 2024 during the session on “Safe People: Vulnerable Populations and Driving.” 
  • Dr. Lodha was invited as a keynote speaker at the Ride to End Alzheimer’s 2023 to speak about how changes in driving behavior may signal early onset of cognitive impairments.

Educators and Students

High school and college students who are aspiring to be next-generation scientists 

  •  Introduce a girl to engineering 2025: Dr. Lodha as an invited panelist shares her experiences to inspire and engage middle school girls who are curious about engineering.   
  •  Each summer, the MNR Lab hosts 2-4 students for a research internship program, providing hands-on experience in mobility research to inspire scientific curiosity and foster emerging young minds
