Health and Exercise Science 38th Annual CSU Homecoming Race
The Homecoming Race is an event for the whole family.
Both runners and walkers of all ages are welcome to participate in the 5K race around the beautiful CSU campus. Children are invited to take part in the free Kids Fun Run led by Cam the Ram. As every year passes, more and more students and community members join in the fun. We had a great turn out in 2018 despite the chilly weather!
The 2018 race took place Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018 at 9 a.m. at the Moby Complex. This was the 38th annual race, which was started as a fundraiser for the CSU Adult Fitness program. Today, proceeds from the race benefit the Heart Disease Prevention Program of the Human Performance Clinical Research Lab. This program provides an opportunity for individuals to be screened for all the risk factors for heart disease. This screening includes personal and family history, a maximal treadmill test, an examination by a physician, blood lipid analysis, body composition assessment, and much more.
This year, we were BACK ON CAMPUS! Our new route started and finished just South of the Moby complex and went through the beautiful CSU main campus on a fast, flat route! We moved the race to Sunday morning to avoid any game-day traffic and parking issues and to extend the Homecoming weekend activities even longer!
