Thank you so much to all of our runners – 1,100+ strong in-person, with many more online.
The times for the run are available for in-person participants. If you were in a category where you won a prize, but did not make the awards ceremony, email email@example.com to arrange prize pickup.
Thank you all so much for coming out, coming to the race and making it a memorable time for all involved. We cannot wait to see you next year.
Homecoming 2021 Announcing our 2021 Homecoming 5K Race - In Person and Virtual This Year
2021 Homecoming 5K Race Course
The in-person race is taking place on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 8:00 am on the CSU Oval. All abilities are welcome to run, and we will have two start times to accommodate people of different abilities, including a 7:50 a.m. start for our Push Rim division and a 7:55 a.m. start for our Push Assist division. We are also excited to announce the return of the Kids Run, which will kick off at 9:00 a.m. for the traditional two laps around the Oval.
Please note that the in-person race course does have some sections on the sidewalk, and a small section where the road adjacent will be open, so we will have race marshals along the route to keep people on the course and away from the road. Please plan accordingly.
Our Benefactors Adult Fitness
Proceeds from the 5K Homecoming Race benefit the ongoing research efforts and outreach engagements that the department has to offer. HES is committed to a life-altering education for every one of our 1,400 undergraduate students, exceptional training and development for our M.S. and Ph.D. students, innovative and impactful research, and, in the spirit of our land-grant heritage, top-quality outreach and engagement programs that share our mission and provide value to the community.
This year’s race proceeds will benefit the work done by Adult Fitness. Adult Fitness is a supportive group exercise program uniquely tailored to the needs of each member. It provides a hands-on learning practicum for hundreds of HES students each year, who get to engage in client relations, tailored workout programs, and a variety of other pertinent industry skills in a welcoming yet realistic environment. It also provides education, fitness examination, and a multilevel fitness approach that makes exercise accessible and affordable for community members of all physical backgrounds. The proceeds will continue to help Adult Fitness provide top-notch fitness regimens for members of the community while fostering a positive, growth-focused academic experience for students.
If you, a friend, or a loved one would like to participate, or if you have questions, please contact Kimberly Burke at firstname.lastname@example.org or (970) 491-0928, or visit their website for more details on the program and details on how to sign up.
SNL Laboratory Run for MS Run for a Cause
The Sensorimotor Neuroimaging Laboratory, an HES research team, continues to make great progress conducting research focused on improving mobility and quality of life for people living with MS.
As a passionate advocate for the National MS Society, particularly the regional Colorado-Wyoming Chapter, they’ve participated in the Walk MS, Hike MS and Muckfest events in honor of MS patients and research. Each year the SNL lab finishes as one of the Top 10 Fundraising teams in the state – thanks to all of you!
This year the lab team is pairing up with the CSU 5k Homecoming Race on October 9th, 2021, they are asking for your support again!
Support their team by:
