Visit Avenir Museum of Design and Merchandising

The costumes and textiles collection at the Avenir Museum includes more than 18,000 artifacts of cultural and historical significance. The main museum in the University Center for the Arts complex includes a classroom, galleries, and a textile conservation laboratory for faculty and student research. The Gustafson Gallery in the Department of Design and Merchandising features student work and falls under the umbrella of the Avenir Museum.

Creative Collaborations Nancy Richardson Design Center

This iconic new design hub accommodates design-thinking projects that span the fields of interior design, engineering, business, landscape architecture, art, and more. It houses design studios, fabrication and prototyping labs, and spaces designed to foster creative interdisciplinary collaborations.

Research Centers and Institutes

Our College has 12 Centers, Institutes, and Other Special Units designated by the Vice President for Research office dedicated to advancing scholarship around a critical issue or specific research topic. Additional unit level centers and institutes conduct important research and engage the community.
