Our laboratory investigates how dietary nutrients influence the interactions between host organisms (ie. humans, rodents) and their gastrointestinal microbiome.
In particular, we examine how dietary components alter microbial metabolism and community structure to improve intestinal barrier function and reduce inflammation.
