Lab Alumni
Tyler Whittier, Ph.D.
Tyler completed his PhD in the SNL in the Fall of 2021. After staying on as a post-doctoral fellow for 9 months, Dr. Whittier now works with the Leidos Military and Veterans Health Solutions group as a Neuroscience and Biomechanics Research Scientist. Tyler conducts research within the Physical and Cognitive Operational Research (PhyCORE) program in the Warfighter Performance Department at the Naval Health Research Center in San Diego, CA.
Clayton Swanson, Ph.D.
Clayton finished both his master’s (2018) and PhD (2021) in the Sensorimotor Neuroimaging Lab. Clayton is currently working in Dr. David Clark’s Human Motor Performance Laboratory at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center and University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Clayton is interested in understanding the neural underpinnings of turning in clinical and nonclinical populations.
Victoria Bandera, M.S.
Vicky completed her master’s degree in the Spring of 2021. Vicky is currently a doctoral student in the Huntsman Cancer Institute’s Ulrich Group at the University of Utah.
Moriah Hanson, M.S., EP-C, OTS
Moriah finished her master’s degree in the SNL during the Fall of 2019 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in occupational therapy at Colorado State University, with a desire to integrate her exercise science background with occupational therapy, empowering people of all ages and ability levels to live full lives.
Arianna Odom, M.S., DPT
Arianna completed her master’s degree during the Spring 2020 semester and the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus in 2023. Dr. Odom is currently a physical therapist for Intermountain Health on the Western Slope of Colorado. When not working, Arianna enjoys trail running, skiing, backpacking, paddle-boarding, live music, local food, and summer sunsets.
Andrew Monaghan, M.S., Ph.D.
Andrew finished his master’s degree in the SNL in the Fall of 2018 and his Ph.D. in Dr. Daniel Peterson’s Gait and Balance Disorders Laboratory at Arizona State University. Dr. Monaghan is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at The Wallace H. Coulter Department of Biomedical Engineering at Georgia Tech and Emory University. In Andrew’s leisure time, you can find him running anywhere and everywhere. When not running, Andrew is supporting his favorite soccer team Celtic FC and his Mississippi State Bulldogs in the SEC.
Sutton Richmond, Ph.D.
Dr. Richmond completed his graduate studies in the Spring of 2020. After completing a postdoctoral fellowship in Dr. Rachael Seidler’s Neuromotor Behavior Laboratory at the University of Florida, Sutton accepted his current role as a Senior Scientist at Exponent.
Jordan Acosta
Jordan completed her master’s degree in the SNL in the Summer of 2023. During her degree, she started working with the Brain Health Center of the Rockies and has since accepted a position with the organization as a Brain Health Researcher. Jordan helps lead various programs for neurological conditions such as multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s Disease. The goal of the programs is to provide personalized education spanning a variety of different concepts of brain health to patients. Additionally, her role is to conduct research regarding program effectiveness and ways to optimize outcomes.
