Jumpstart your career in nutrition science

Regardless of which concentration you choose, our degree in nutrition science allows you to jump start your career by helping you prepare to obtain nationally recognized certifications such as a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) and a Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach.

One of our labs is the Food and Nutrition Clinical Research Laboratory which is designed for and dedicated to the conduct of clinical research studies exploring the impact of food and nutrition on human health. Areas of focus include but are not limited to cardiovascular, metabolic, gut, and immune health.

The Kendall Reagan Nutrition Center provides service-learning opportunities and training for students in the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition while enhancing the health of the community through nutrition outreach, collaboration, and research.

Student Ambassadors

Our students can apply for the opportunity to represent the department as student ambassadors for recruitment and events.

As a Nutrition Science major, you can join a club to promote nutrition and health in the CSU community, network with industry professionals, and build leadership experience in a club officer role.
