Laurel Kubin CSU Extension, Extension Agent and County Extension Director, 1971 - 2017

After graduating in 1971 with her B.S. in Consumer Sciences and Housing from Colorado State University’s College of Home Economics, Kubin went on to have a distinguished career as an Extension agent and County Extension Director for Larimer County. She is an expert in personal financial literacy and has personally taught hundreds of personal finance classes.

Laurel established the Laurel and Frank Kubin Scholarship to support students enrolled in the College of Health and Human Sciences majoring in one of the original home economics departments: Design and Merchandising, Food Science and Human Nutrition, Human Development and Family Studies, and the School of Education/Family and Consumer Sciences.
