Maria Puig Faculty, School of Social Work, 1996 - 2013
Dr. Maria Puig spent 18 years at Colorado State University as an associate professor and assistant director, where she flourished under the mentorship of Dr. Brad Sheafor and the leadership of former director of the School of Social Work, Dr. Ben Granger. It was Dr. Granger’s guiding hand that encouraged her to first join the CSU faculty, and the invaluable mentorship of Dr. Brad Sheafor that helped her grow as an educator.

Message for Maria Puig
“Maria made such a difference in my education. She taught all of us about diversity and cultural awareness. She urged us to think outside of the box. We also had the honor of tasting her Cuban cooking!!!! Congratulations on this honor, Maria. You deserve it!”
