Strategic Priorities

Some specific initiatives in our 2023 – 2027 Strategic Plan include leading the development of a comprehensive Institute for Mental and Behavioral Health, developing an interdisciplinary School of Human-Centered Design, and addressing workforce shortages in areas such as public health, nursing, education, and infrastructure systems. Fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion while growing our research portfolio and promoting student success and retention remain important areas of focus for the College. CHHS First Generation Student Success Fund

This fund was created to provide academic support and resources for first-generation students in the form of professional development, tutoring and mentoring, training and curriculum development, travel and other needs.

Dean's Ambassadors Program

The College of Health and Human Sciences Dean’s Ambassadors Program (formerly Dean’s Leadership Council) fosters student success, engagement, service, and leadership among our students.

Health and Human Sciences Students First Scholarship Fund

The College of Health and Human Sciences Students First Scholarship is awarded to undergraduate students with high scholastic achievement who show a potential for success.

Lighten the Load Fund

This fund provides emergency financial resources to College of Health and Human Sciences students in need, helping them to continue their educational goals despite challenges that arise.

Nancy Hartley Student Success Fund

This fund will support College of Health and Human Sciences programming (e.g., mentoring, tutoring) to facilitate undergraduate students’ pathways to success.

CHHS Enrichment Fund

The College of Health and Human Sciences Enrichment Fund supports the greatest needs in the college. This can include scholarships, research, updated infrastructure, and other unique opportunities that may occur.
