Scholarships help us attract outstanding students, make a college degree more affordable, and allow our students to concentrate more fully on their studies and educational experience. Starting a scholarship is a rewarding way to give back to CSU.

Supporting Students with Scholarships

With one of the largest scholarship programs on campus, we made 304 scholarship awards for 2023-24 totaling more than $763,000. This is a testament not only to our talented students but to the caring dedication and generous spirits of our donors. Health and Human Sciences Students First Scholarship Fund

Donate any amount to HHS Students First Scholarship Fund which awards scholarships to outstanding undergraduate students in each of our disciplines.

Establishing a Named Scholarship

Named scholarships can pay tribute to a loved one or special faculty member, preserve a family name, or highlight a company’s presence. We can help you start a named scholarship to connect the past, present, and future!

Annual Scholarship

Establish an Annual Scholarship in your name, in memory of a loved one, or in honor of a colleague or former professor. Annual scholarships depend on a gift from a donor every year. A minimum five-year commitment of giving is requested for all annual scholarships.

  • $2,500 and above: Donors may designate the program, department, and/or college in which the scholarship is awarded, as well as provide specific qualifications, such as GPA, financial need, class year, geographic location, and other appropriate criteria.
  • $1,000-2,499 annual commitment: Donors may designate the major, program, department, and/or college in which the scholarship is awarded.

Endowed Scholarship

By establishing an Endowed Scholarship, your contributions are invested with the CSU Foundation, and students are awarded scholarships each year from a portion of the earnings generated by the principal of a gift. Any remainder is then reinvested in the fund to preserve and ensure the growth of the endowment in perpetuity. Scholarship endowments may be funded at one time or up to five years.

  • $50,000 Minimum – Presidential Endowed Scholarship: Donors may designate the program, department, and/or college in which the scholarship is awarded, as well as provide specific qualifications, such as GPA, financial need, class year, geographic area, and other appropriate criteria.
  • $25,000 Minimum – University Endowed Scholarship: Donors may designate the major, program, department, and/or college in which the scholarship is awarded.

Endowed Graduate Fellowship

Graduate Fellowships are awarded to students performing research under the direction of our renowned faculty on-campus. These fellowships enable outstanding students to continue their pursuit of research on the graduate level. Through this hands-on learning, students strengthen their resumes and build expertise that they can carry on through their academic careers and into their professional lives.

  • $50,000 Minimum

    Invitation to the annual College of Health and Human Sciences or Construction Management gratitude event.

  • Membership benefits of the 1870 Club with annual giving of $1,870 and greater.
  • The opportunity to name a fund to celebrate a family member, friend, or beloved faculty member, or bring honor to a business or organization.
