Outreach

The ATRC ensures equal access to technology and electronic information for CSU students and employees with disabilities. See the accessibility by design website with resources and tutorials for faculty and staff to create inclusive and accessible course content.

The puzzle to navigating everyday life may look different for everyone. The Center for Community Partnerships supports 125-150 people each year, providing tools, resources, and strategies that optimize participation for all people.

Student Stories

Celine Cisneros is a first-generation student in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. Cisneros describes first-generation students as brave, resilient, determined, and adaptable individuals. Her passion to help people led her to pursue an OTD degree. 

Yoselin Estacuy-Ixcot (B.S. ‘22) is a first-generation student in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. Estacuy-Ixcot returned to CSU after receiving her undergraduate degree in human development and family studies in 2022. During her time as an undergraduate, Estacuy-Ixcot was named an outstanding graduate in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Estacuy-Ixcot drive to become an occupational therapist comes from watching the impact OT made in her mom’s life and her desire to contribute to an equitable healthcare system. 

Ethan Montrose (B.S. ‘20) is a first-generation student in the Department of Occupational Therapy at Colorado State University. Montrose returned to CSU after receiving his undergraduate degree in health and exercise science in 2020. He is committed to becoming a pediatric specialist to help children live their lives to the fullest.

Adolescent and Young Adult Mentoring Service Project

This mentor project is part of the adolescent and young adult OT 661 course. Goals typically relate to community access, volunteer/employment, independent living, and social engagement. For more information, please contact Fieldwork Program Assistant, Debi Krogh-Michna.

OT Knowledge Exchange

An annual event hosted by CSU OT for occupational therapy practitioners, faculty, and students to gather for a full day or speakers, presentations, and community building.
